Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Case Manager with expertise in OWCP (Office of Workers' Compensation Programs) to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in providing support to employees who are recovering from workplace injuries or illnesses by overseeing claims, facilitating services, and ensuring timely resolution of cases. The Case Manager will work directly with injured workers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to support the claims process and ensure the appropriate benefits and services are provided.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for injured workers, guiding them through the OWCP claims process.
- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims, providing case management from start to finish.
- Assess medical documentation, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Coordinate benefits for workers, including medical, rehabilitation, and wage loss benefits, in accordance with OWCP guidelines.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with workers and their healthcare providers to monitor progress and ensure necessary resources are available.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate case files, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with employers, legal teams, and other DOL departments to facilitate resolutions and ensure smooth communication.
- Assist injured workers in transitioning back to work, including return-to-work programs and job accommodations when necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to workers navigating the complexities of the OWCP system. Qualifications :
- Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with OWCP claims, workers' compensation programs, or a similar case management role.
- Strong knowledge of OWCP regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex cases with empathy and professionalism.
- Self-started with strong focus and ability to self-direct.
- Preferred :
- Certification in case management (CCM or equivalent).
- Experience working with federal workers’ compensation programs.
- Proficiency in case management software and other relevant tools.
- Experience with medical records review and understanding of medical terminology.

Available shifts and compensation : We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
