Summary:
The Family Resource Coordinator connects underserved individuals and families with
essential resources to support well-being. This role collaborates with schools, community
organizations, and district departments to ensure students and families have access to food,
health services, clothing, and educational support. By building strong community
partnerships, the Coordinator supports students in succeeding academically and empowers
families to achieve stability and long-term welfare.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Daily 25%
Identify and assess the needs of students and families, collaborating
with community partners to connect them with essential resources
such as food assistance, health insurance, clothing, and educational
support.
Daily 25%
Develop strong partnerships with community organizations,
government agencies, and local businesses to expand resource
availability and support for students and families.
Daily 25%
Develop, implement, and oversee a strategic plan for the resource
center’s initiatives, addressing community needs, aligning with
organizational goals, and supporting the district’s strategic vision.
Regularly evaluate and adjust programs to maximize impact and
sustainability.
Daily 10%
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of services provided,
resources utilized, and outcomes achieved. Prepare and submit
detailed reports to school district leadership and funding agencies to
demonstrate program impact, ensure compliance, and support data-
driven resource allocation.
Daily 5% Supervise all aspects of the Medicaid Family Liaison and Clerk roles,
including hiring, training, assigning tasks, conducting performance
evaluations, managing disciplinary actions, and handling
terminations.
Daily 5%
Oversee the Medicaid Family Resource program budget, ensuring
responsible expenditure management and proper resource
allocation for purchased items.
Daily 5% Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND
TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human
Services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience working with underserved or at-risk
populations.
Skills, Knowledge,
EQUIPMENT & OTHER:
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, and time
management skills. Advanced skill in dealing with students’
families and staff with diverse needs at various levels.
Knowledge of local and federal assistance programs, including
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid,
and housing services. Ability to work independently and
Collaboratively Within a Team. Bilingual Skills Are Preferred But
not required. Possess the ability to travel within the
community, work flexible hours, and occasionally work evening
or weekend events
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, &
REGISTRATIONS: A valid Colorado driver's license is required.
SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL
RESPONSIBILITY:
Directly supervises and is responsible for hiring, discipline,
termination, directing work, assigning work, training, and
employee evaluations of the Medicaid Family Liaisons and
Clerk.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently
required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift
and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required
by this job include close and distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust
focus.
