Job Description
The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) is responsible for supporting and enhancing
various initiatives to improve the teaching, learning, and student experience at Pickens
Technical College. This role will oversee new teacher onboarding and provide guidance and
training in various platforms and processes, including Canvas, Oracle, VE135, Randa, and
ensure faculty are equipped for success in the classroom. Support the development of new
clinical sites and foster strategic partnerships that align with industry needs. Provide support to
the Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) and collaborate with the Colorado Community
College System (CCCS) on curriculum and program updates. Lead and support Career and
Technical Student Organization (CTSO) activities, including monthly meetings, compliance,
fundraising, conference participation, registration management, competition judging, and travel
arrangements. Develop and maintain a variety of resource banks. Support instructors with
student contracts and interventions, and serve as a liaison for the social worker to connect
support services with classrooms and instructors. Track and report schoolwide data related to
academic growth, completion, placement, and licensure, while supporting attendance tracking
efforts to ensure student success.
