We are seeking a qualified Data Entry Clerk to join our Order Entry and Customer Service department! The ideal candidate would be able to multitask, have great attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Since this position is based in an office environment, having up to date knowledge of Microsoft Offices, fax machines, and other office equipment is a must.
Job Description:
- Create job travelers for production
- Process purchase orders in an accurate and efficient manner into the company’s ERP System (Epicor 10) following company policies and procedures
- Understand and maintain document control according to company policy
- Provide customers with order acknowledgements and address any changes that need to be made to the purchase order
- Field incoming telephone calls, identify their location and purpose, and forward them to appropriate personnel or departments in the absence of a Customer Service Representative
- Coordinate with the Customer Relationship Managers and Customer Service Manager
- Maintain a customer-oriented and polite demeanor while representing yourself professionally
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to employ excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
- Ability to work as a member of a team without direct supervision
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
- Must be familiar with Windows operating system (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent typing and 10-key skills
- Have an advanced understanding of an ERP system
- Ability to add and subtract real numbers and to complete simple calculations
Education Required
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
