Position Purpose
Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.
Essential Job Functions
The Health Endorsement adjunct supports learning by teaching physical education licensure students the necessary information to obtain an endorsement in health education by using experiential and meaningful learning experiences.
Teaching Responsibilities
The adjunct will report to the Program Coordinator of Physical Education. They will be responsible for teaching a fall and spring health education course to physical education majors. There is an opportunity to teach other courses within the program. The adjunct will be responsible for teaching the required content students need for endorsement based on the ILTS testing framework, completing assessments, and completing dispositions on students.

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $1,000 per credit hour. This compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the university, based on institutional needs.
The pay range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted amount the university reasonably expects to pay for this position. The final pay rate will not be below the lowest pay rate listed herein.

- Minimum of a master’s degree in physical education with health endorsement or master’s degree in health education.
- Must have taught health education at the middle school, high school, or college level.
- Computer skills and familiarity with D2L, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, etc. helpful but not required.
- Sitting, standing, moving about campus, and computer use.
