We’re searching for a Software Engineer to join our Software Quality team, focused on building the tools and systems used by Aurora software engineers.

We’re searching for a Software Engineer to join our Software Quality team, focused on building the tools and systems used by Aurora software engineers.
In This Role, You Will
- Build and enhance the software quality measurement and reporting tools required to deliver on Aurora’s product ambitions, including the Aurora Driver
- Help develop, run, and grow the tools / services used to build and test autonomous vehicle systems
- Help build and deliver training around developing high quality, testable software
- Work with engineers from across the organization to improve internal software quality
- Design, implement, and maintain command line tools, pipelines, and web services that drive software quality
- Degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent working experience)
- Proficient in Python, C/C , or Golang programming
- Ability to work with others on design and implementation and both provide and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to estimate and deliver their work on schedule
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
- Good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with cross functional and geographically dispersed teams
- Comfortable with Git and GitHub
- Comfortable with Linux/other unix environments
- Experience with developer tools and software development & delivery workflows
- Experience with CI/CD platforms (Buildkite, Jenkins, Circle CI)
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Understanding of the challenges, trade offs, and approaches involved in providing a world class developer experience in a monorepo development environment
- Passionate about understanding the needs of our engineering teams and shipping tools/features that increase code velocity and improve the overall developer experience
- Past experience with software quality, build systems, devops, and related areas is a huge plus
