Essential Job Functions:
- Documentation Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update required records, reports, and statutes for administrative purposes.
- Complete records in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify and update resident listing and contact information.
- Track resident levels and ensure proper documentation completion.
- Ensure resident charts are accurate and up to date.
- Communication Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the treatment process for each assigned resident by communicating effectively with service areas.
- Facilitate contact between residents and their placing agencies/families.
- Report major incidents to state agencies, the academy, and resident workers following reporting procedures.
- Resident Intake and Discharge Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely delivery of required documentation to referring agencies.
- Participate in intake meetings during resident admissions.
- Update records with relevant information regarding resident discharges.
- Resident Care Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of residents’ belongings.
- Monitor and manage resident visits per Academy policies.
- Assist with resident outings, medical appointments, or home visits when necessary.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure compliance with phone call log binder procedures.
- Complete resident surveys quarterly.
- Provide coverage on living units as needed.
- Perform regular office tasks including typing, filing, and answering calls.
- Maintain professional growth through the Staff Development Program.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or other behavioral sciences, or equivalent case management experience.
- Experience: At least two years of higher education and related experience.
- Clear Background: No substantiated record of child abuse or neglect.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders including state representatives, social workers, therapists, and families.
What We’re Looking For:
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old..
- Substance-Free: Must be free from chemical use problems for at least two years (if working with youth facing substance use issues).
- Authorization: Must provide documentation to work legally in the U.S.
