Bonjour! My name is Aurore Adam, I am the founder and owner of Aurore French Bakery. I fell in love with Montana thanks to my twin sister Alison, who has been living here for 5 years. 3 years ago I finally made the move from Paris to Bozeman in order to open an authentic French Bakery here in the Gallatin Valley. I started by baking out of my kitchen, attending Farmer's Markets, and catering weddings and other events. On July 14th 2023, we officially opened our Brick and Mortar store. We are still in the early stages and have seen great success selling our products and building our customer base. Now, we are focused on growing and improving every day. Our core team is made of 8 people - bread baker, pastry chef, assistant baker, tourier, two baristas/cashiers, assistant manager and manager.

We love our work here and we have a very positive and encouraging culture. That said, working here is seriously HARD work. That means being on your feet for entire shifts, cleaning and recleaning things constantly, and maintaining a positive professional attitude in interactions with customers and staff. If you do not thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, this might not be the job for you.

However, if you have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, you will thrive here. Below are some of the daily tasks that you will be responsible for at Aurore French Bakery.

Responsibilities:

• Take orders and serve customers while processing payments accurately using the Point Of Sales system.
• Constantly organize and clean the Point Of Sales system area.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking private orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns. You are the face of the bakery, and you must always be respectful and kind.
• Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages.
• Constantly organize and clean the boutique, the sitting area, and the display cases.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, such as French Coffee, Teas, French Limonade.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
• Regularly sweep the floor, including kitchen area.
• Constantly do dishes, following the safety guidelines.
• Taking the trash and recycling out.
• Putting the Aurore's sign on the side of the road.
• Wear a professional and nice outfit, you will have an apron to protect your clothes. You can not be too fancy in a French Bakery!

Requirements & Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a bakery, the food industry or as a barista. Experience is preferred but not required. Being fascinated by France, or making croissants at home does not qualify for the job. We are looking for someone who wants to LEARN, and GROW with the bakery. You work hard, and you will be rewarded. It is that simple.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and with the working team!
• Flexibility: Aurore French Bakery is a new business, you need to be able to adapt to changes or improvements every day.
• Coachability: Honesty is part of our management, and we set the bar very high. It is not personal, so you need to be able to take constructive criticism without feeling attacked.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is a plus.

Aurore French Bakery's Goals & Future:

• Sharing French culture and food with our customers by making high quality baked goods. We are using French flour and French butter, offering French Coffee, Teas and Limonade. Part of our staff are French or French speaking. When our customers enter the bakery, we want them to feel like they are traveling to France.
• Working in a dynamic, and friendly environment, where you can express your feelings, and improve your quality of work and as well as that of your colleagues .
• Growing the business everyday, by taking the initiative and being proactive.
• Opening another bakery downtown Bozeman. You could be a big part of it, if you want to!

Working Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Every week - IF YOU DO NOT WANT OR CAN WORK EVERY WEEKENDS PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.

Hours: 6 AM to 2/3ish PM

Pay: Starting hourly $15 tips (about $21 to $27, or more!). This salary will evolve, depending on how you help the company to grow. Also, the better we serve customers, the more we get tipped!

Position: Full time, ideally for a 1 year commitment minimum, if it’s the right fit. We are looking for someone interested in growing with us for the long term as we scale this company. NOT A SEASONAL JOB!
