Description This position is responsible to operate many kinds of equipment and instrumentation, set up apparatus for chemical reactions, prepare compounds, monitor commercial production, test for raw material and product quality, and collect and analyze samples. They conduct a variety of laboratory procedures, from routine process control to complex research projects.

Role Specific Responsibilities
- Conducts analytical testing of chemical products, intermediates and raw materials according to specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Performs routine/non-routine testing, both wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, according to SOPs, testing methods, protocols, and compendia (USP/EP/JP) with minimum supervision
- Maintains good relations with all Production personnel and other departments to solicit information and assistance when necessary
- Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
- Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times
- Active participation in continuous improvement activities
- Participates in problem-solving
- Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
- Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
- Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance
- Knowledge in wet chemistry techniques, titrations, UV, ICP
- Ability to work in a team environment within a multi-functional, organizational structure and exhibit robust interpersonal skills
- Ability to sit, stand and move around the facility
