As the Maintenance Store Clerk you will be responsible for managing, organizing and maintaining the inventory of parts and equipment in the storeroom. Your role will contribute to the smooth operation of the maintenance department’s operations by ensuring availability of the necessary parts, accurate inventory tracking and kitting of parts for efficient work execution.

Your Tasks
- Maintain accurate inventory records of parts and equipment, including regular physical counts.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of maintenance supplies, verifying quantity and quality.
- Organize and stock parts and equipment in designated storage areas.
- Kitting of parts in alignment with maintenance planning, ensuring they are ready for work execution.
- Participate in joint reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance planning, kitting and parts availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish stock as needed.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and inspect.
- Assist maintenance staff in locating and retrieving necessary parts and equipment.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance store, ensuring that supplies are properly labeled and stored.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling hazardous materials or equipment.
Your Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a maintenance or related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a maintenance or warehouse environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Physical Requirements
- Must be willing and physically able to walk/work in, observe and spend time in a smelter environment.

- May have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, in meetings or presenting and training.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct audits and/or walk-throughs.
- Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas.
- Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to respond to any safety incident quickly and effectively and/or accident including First Responder duties.
