Your Tasks
As an Electronic Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various control systems operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, PLC programming, and automation technologies.
- Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including but not limited to PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS. HMIs and other automation equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systms to ensure optimal performance reliability.
- Troubleshoot control system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team mebers to design and implement control system upgrades and modifications.
- Document all maintenance and repaid activites, including updating schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering, automation or a related field perferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Controls Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficient in PLC Programming and troubleshooting(e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation and control devices.
- Experience with SCADA systems, DCS, HMIs and other control system software.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagram, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
- Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions within the equipment and process margins.
