We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about food, dedicated to customer satisfaction, and ready to deliver high-quality meals to guests exploring the Chasm’s stunning landscapes.
Your Role:
Prepare and serve delicious food quickly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, quality, and customer service. Work collaboratively with the Café Manager and staff to create a welcoming and productive environment for both employees and guests.
What You’ll Do:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to fulfill customer orders quickly and to high-quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, and food processors.
- Record and manage food orders while ensuring all items are prepared accurately.
Daily Operations & Cleanliness:
- Assist with morning kitchen setup and evening closing procedures, ensuring the Café is ready for operations.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for all food and beverage items, alerting the Café Manager of any shortages.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Café in accordance with food service industry standards and Department of Health guidelines.
Customer Interaction & Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Café Manager to meet customer expectations and create a positive dining experience.
- Foster a fun and productive work environment for staff and customers alike.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong culinary skills with experience preparing and cooking a variety of food items.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a level head and proactive work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with managers, co-workers, and customers.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring every order is prepared to meet quality and presentation standards.
- Versatility with a short-order menu, quickly adapting to customer preferences and special requests.
- Must be a self-starter who can meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a short-order chef or in a similar culinary role.
- Proven ability to lead a team in a kitchen or café environment.
- Adaptability to handle variable workloads during peak and off-peak seasons.
