About The Role
- Manage the day-to-day cost controls requirements for the assigned projects utilizing standard Ausenco systems, against which trends, scope changes, commitments, payments, forecasts and budget variances are monitored and reported
- Liaise to reconcile all project corporate, consultant and any third-party cost activities and include them in the project reports.
- Assist with the preparation of the periodic progress reporting for engineering, procurement & construction activities utilizing earned value methods
- Assist with the preparation of periodic cash flow forecasting and manning reports.
- Monitor Project performance including costs, progress against schedule and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment of critical project performances and reporting to Management.
- Manage scope changes by maintaining the scope change database and compare trends and scope changes against the control budget.
- Assist with internal project operations excellence reviews and reports.
- Assist Lead Planner with project schedules for Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases in Primavera P6, ensuring that activities are updated accurately and on a regular basis.
- Ensure Project Schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure and interface to the controls systems for progress / forecast analysis
- Incorporate scope changes and trends into project schedules.
- Assist Estimators and support the conversion of project estimate to capital control budget.
- Assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of Project Control Procedures and Processes, in particular cost control.
- Liaise with and provide professional support to Project Services team in the preparation Project deliverables.
- Degree or diploma in engineering, project management, business administration, and/or finance.
- 8 - 15 years’ experience in multi-disciplinary projects, home office and construction.
- Relevant experience in EPC or EPCM environment.
- Experience in using project delivery systems eg, Oracle, Ecosys, P6, Hexagon, PRISM, and the understanding data interfaces is essential. Experience using PowerBI is a plus.
- Have lead or been involved in the full lifecycle of the controls management on reimbursable projects.
- Understand the requirements of project controls management utilising work breakdown structures within multiple systems to support data management interfaces eg. cost & progress control (EcoSys, PRISM), scheduling (P6), procurement & contracts), construction management etc
- Well versed in all aspects of project controls, progress monitoring to plan, cost & commitment tracking, resource planning, cash flow reporting, change management, project analytics, management of site construction costs, project forecasting etc
- Experience in the development and implementation of new systems.
- Experience in the development and updates of controls procedures, templates and work instructions.
- Experience in implementing controls-reporting dashboards using PowerBI to support the delivery of projects.
- Experience in preparing monthly/weekly project status reports contributing to the details on project deviations and mitigation plans.
