Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets
- Handle pets with care and ensure their safety and well-being during grooming sessions
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
- Monitor pet health and report any abnormalities to the pet owner or veterinary staff
Skills:
- Experience in pet grooming
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger pets
- Knowledge of pet care practices and animal handling techniques
- Certification or background in veterinary technician, kennel work, or veterinary assistant roles is a plus
- Proficiency in animal restraint methods
- Familiarity with equine grooming or dog training is advantageous
