AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and manage Austal USA grant application process, ensuring all required materials are submitted accurately and on time.
- Develop and execute a process to identify grant opportunities and prepare required proposals to obtain those grants.
Maintain strong working relationships with government grant program officers and agencies.
Plan, prepare and write grant proposals for all Austal USA locations to include Alabama, California and Virginia.
Develop and maintain a grant management log for funded grants that includes report due dates, budget adherence, and any other grant requirements.
Required QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE :
DIRECTION EXERCISED : Works independently to achieve assigned goals.
DISCRETION EXERCISED : Incumbent will be expected to work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude while navigating through ambiguous situations to meet goals and objectives. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
LIAISES WITH : Employees and management at all levels with a vested interest in grant outcomes, as well as local, state, federal, and private agencies as sources of funds.
