What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand & Marketing Strategist (For Musicians / Music Industry) position at AUSTERE?
AUSTERE is a new-age creative social media marketing agency primarily focused on serving musicians and D2C brands.
Details:
Our agency is currently seeking a Brand & Marketing Strategist (this is written for SEO so it hopefully finds the right people) for our musician clients to join our marketing team. Ideally this person does artist development in terms of their visual identity 'image' and marketing efforts across releases.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in working with musicians exclusively. Do not apply if this is not you.
This project-based role is focused on building visual identity brand books and marketing/release plans for musicians.

While we will train you on our agency's visual identity methodology created and coined by our founder, Natasha Brito, we expect you to have a clear understanding of storytelling, ideation, creating treatments (like for music videos in the past as the closest similar type of work), being extremely creative, edgy, avante-garde and off the wall with your concepts, and write incredible summaries to explain the your concepts/subliminal ideas and more. You must have a visual eye for creating mood boards, pulling inspo and knowing what to search for in order to create your vision.
You will also be trained on what we do with our marketing and release planning but again, having experience in this is key.

- Meditating to the artist's music to gather subliminal and subconscious creative/visual guidance on their ideal visual identity
- Writing impactful and conceptual stories around the origin of their visual identity
- Creating the brand book front to back by researching concepts, sourcing imagery online for mood boards and building out the character archetype the artist falls into/why.
- Presenting the brand book to artist/team in the most creative, passionate and impactful way possible while also listening for feedback (if any) on edits
Creating Marketing/Release Plans
