Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains client confidentiality; adheres to professional ethical standards and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Corresponds with clients and those involved in the care of clients
- Uses electronic health record systems
- Manages calendar availability and assists clients with scheduling when needed (most schedule through their online client portal)
- Utilizes a variety of individual, group, couples, or family counseling interventions
- Engages in information gathering, professional evaluation, formal assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, implementation, and follow-up
- Collects client payments at time of session and assists with client payment arrangements
- Maintains accurate, timely, and thorough client information and clinical documentation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of relevant statutes, ethical codes, and regulations for professional counseling
- Knowledge of counseling, theoretical frameworks, and techniques
- Knowledge of mental health issues, trauma, and trauma-informed treatment
- Knowledge of current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders in formulation of treatment goals and application of appropriate clinical interventions
- Skill in written and oral communication
- Skill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing
- Skill in using computers and related software applications
- Skill in client assessment and using assessment tools
- Skill in diagnosing, treatment planning and implementation
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with employees, external agencies, and the public
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to diversity
- Ability to independently apply sound judgment to resolve complex issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation with a master’s degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Current and Unrestricted License - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD). Must be fully licensed to practice independently in Texas and eligible to credential with insurance panels (not currently hiring Associates).
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
