YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
As a Merchandiser and Sports Center Manager, each day will begin with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sports center, where you will schedule staff and supervise maintenance efforts to ensure a safe and functional environment. You will monitor cleanliness and setup throughout the facility while ensuring that all programs, activities, and events run smoothly. Engaging with members will be a key component of your day as you provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and feedback to foster an inclusive atmosphere that promotes member engagement. As you manage the in-house retail inventory, you will select and order merchandise that aligns with brand standards and customer demand, design attractive product displays, and analyze sales data to optimize your selections. Throughout your day, you will lead by training staff on product knowledge and retail sales techniques, building a cohesive team dedicated to delivering the best experiences.
Here's what you need to become our Merchandiser and Sports Center Manager:
- Experience in facility management, retail, or similar field (sports/recreation preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with sports equipment and fitness merchandise
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and facility management or POS software
Preferred:
- Bachelor's in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Passion for sports, fitness, and healthy lifestyles
- Availability for weekend work
- Background in sports and merchandise
