About Us:
Established in 1969, Austin ENT Clinic is one of the leading Ear, Nose, and Throat clinics in the nation. Our physicians specialize in otolaryngologic care for pediatric and adult patients at locations across the greater Austin area. Our practice features state-of-the-art care for ear, nose, and throat problems, hearing loss, environmental allergies, sinus, and head and neck surgery. We offer a variety of highly specialized procedures that utilize the latest medical technology.
What you will be doing:
These duties include, but are not limited to: greeting people, checking in and out patients, scheduling appointments, answering physician phone calls, acquiring correct identification and insurance information, determining the correct amount and then collecting applicable money, accurately entering and maintaining data in the Electronic Medical Records system,
What you will need:
Experience:
- At least 2 years of recent direct experience in the front office of a specialty physician group practice (or extremely similar) is required
- NOTE: dental, vision, physical therapy, mental health, and chiropractic experience will not be considered towards the “specialty” requirements for this position
- At least 2 years of experience using an EMR is required; Experience with ModMed / EMA preferred
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all aspects of front office operations of a specialty physician practice
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance benefits (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) and eligibility verification
- Knowledge and understanding of prior authorization / precertification
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to operate in a high-paced, dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to the needs of the organization and employees
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in general computer (PC) and website use
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency required
- Related classes or certificates preferred
