Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Endoscopy GI Tech to contribute to our mission and vision by assisting with the care of patients undergoing GI/endoscopy procedures. As an integral member of our team, you will work under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse to maintain a sanitary environment for patients and demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the endoscopy unit
- Demonstrate expertise in the disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment
- Prepare the endoscopy unit and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
- Assist in the maintenance, care, and labeling of specimens
- Identify specimens with the surgeon and pass them to the circulating RN
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment
