Job Description
As an Endoscopy GI Tech, you will assist with the care of patients undergoing GI/endoscopy procedures under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. Your duties will include maintaining a sanitary environment, preparing equipment and supplies, and assisting with specimen handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Prepare endoscopy equipment and supplies for procedures, ensuring timely and efficient setup.
- Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and transportation.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
- One year of acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Valid BCLS certification upon employment.
