Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the League’s 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021 and will play its fifth season in 2025. Austin FC plays its home matches at Q2 Stadium, a 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art stadium which earned certification as a zero-waste venue in 2024. Austin FC sold out all 70 MLS home matches it played in Q2 Stadium during its first four seasons in the league, including two home MLS Cup Playoff matches in 2022 as the team reached the Western Conference Final.
4ATX Foundation is the nonprofit arm of Austin FC. Since its launch, 4ATX Foundation has been committed to using the power of soccer to build physically, socially and emotionally healthy communities. From cultivating welcoming soccer spaces and experiences where youth ignite leadership journeys to building future leaders by providing youth with personal and professional opportunities through soccer, 4ATX Foundation is equipping young people to become future leaders who invest in themselves and create thriving communities across Central Texas.
4ATX Foundation is seeking a driven and passionate Programs Senior Manager who will join Austin FC’s 4ATX Foundation team. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations, the Senior Programs Manager will oversee the Verde Youth Leadership Academy (VYLA) and work closely with 4ATX’s Youth Leadership Team to build long-term and high-impact programming for high school students and young adults.
Key responsibilities include curriculum and program development, group facilitation, and engagement with important stakeholders such as families, corporate partners, and community partners. You will also draw upon operational and strategic skills to help develop a unified evaluation and impact tracking process and manage the organization’s CRM.
As a new position in the organization, the person who takes this role will have the opportunity to build out the programmatic function. The position is based in-person out of the main offices in Austin, TX.

You Will:
· Oversee and manage the Verde Youth Leadership Academy (VYLA):
o Recruit, interview, and hire a cohort of 12 students and ensure compliance with part-time Austin FC employee requirements; and
o Utilize current research that draws upon adolescent development, workforce development, and restorative practices to build a high-quality curriculum with clear objectives; and
o Facilitate weekly meetings with the VYLA cohort that include engaging, educational, and age-appropriate activities; and
o Lead the planning and implementation of two marquee events that showcase the program and bring together families, partners, and other stakeholders; and
o Work with the Austin FC Corporate Partnerships team to create and execute partner assets related to VYLA; and
o Attend and support events where VYLA students are present, such as Clinics 4ATX, Verde Leaders Summer Camps, etc.; and
o Collaborate with organizations to co-construct innovative solutions as a response to program needs and challenges (i.e. transportation, college access); and
· Help manage overarching programmatic operations, including:
o Manage 4ATX’s CRM platform and lead the data collection and analysis to yield reports for program staff, senior leadership, grant partner, and donors; and
o Bring regular reports and updates to team meetings; and
o Oversee the VYLA budget, expenses, and revenue; and
o Support the Senior Director of Operations with grant-writing; and
o Support with the establishment and maintenance of strategic community partnerships; and
o Manage programmatic standard operating procedures; and
o Collaborate to establish strategies and programs aligned with the 2025-2030 strategic plan, including a unified evaluation process and activities that support high school students and young adults; and
· Perform other tasks as needed and be available to work weekends, matchdays and evenings as necessary.
You Have:
· Bachelor’s degree in education, youth and community studies, nonprofit management, or related fields. Master’s degree in a similar field is a plus
· 5 years of direct work experience with youth (adolescent and young adults preferred) and families
· Experience with program development, implementation, and evaluation
· Demonstrated knowledge of social-emotional learning, restorative practices, and positive youth development, and group facilitation
· Interest in soccer and how it can be leveraged as a vehicle for learning (no playing or coaching experience required, but a plus)
· Strong background in data management and comfortable working with a CRM platform
· Excellent attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic paired with strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to drive both near and long-term projects, resulting in measurable successes and program growth
· A commitment to diversity and inclusion both internally and externally
· English and Spanish language proficiency are essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better
