While performing the duties of this role, the employee is required to spend the majority of the day on their feet; required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls. They will reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.

The Austin Habitat for Humanity Affordable Housing Coordinator contributes to our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope by:
- Ensuring each client or family selected for our affordable housing program has a need and willingness to partner
- Processing program applications for eligibility into the AHFH Program and City of Austin MFI eligibility
- Providing future homeowners with the tools needed to build and maintain their homes long-term.
- Submit warranty requests, manage HOA issues, resales and Re-certification of Primary Residence
- Provide Stewardship and Compliance, explaining Restrictive Covenant to homeowners
- Assist with issues related to taxes (Tax Assessor’s Office) and property valuation (TCAD)
- Acts as a role model within and outside the Agency
- Adheres to Agency policy and procedures
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude and upholds organizational core values
- Works in collaboration with supervisor and staff to implement organizational strategic goals
- Demonstrates self-motivation, flexibility and efficient time management
- Review each application and supporting documents, perform verifications to ensure program qualification
- Order property documents in a timely manner and check for accuracy/errors
- Maintain organization of files both electronically and in paper form, updating as needed
- Input accurate information on data tracking website, pulling reports as needed
- Coordinate closings and provide final documentation to all lenders/funders
- Communicate current status/program updates to potential and existing homeowners
- Assist with post-closing items such as warranty requests and loan servicing setup
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree OR three (3) years-experience / Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years-experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a service-oriented environment
- Experience working in affordable housing
- Familiarity with Mortgage Lending laws and regulations
- Two years-experience working as a Loan Processor
- Motivated self-starter who is also comfortable collaborating in a team environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- High level of problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Certified Notary Public
- Experience using Salesforce
- $23/hourly
