MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in construction
management or a related field is required. A Master’s degree and/or experience in Construction Management is preferred.
Experience with Procore is preferred.

JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Architecture by supporting the facilitation and implementation of bond
and non-bond related projects within the Austin ISD Construction Management Department and District Facilities within the
Operations Department supporting past and future Bond Programs. Incumbent provides instruction and technical supervision to
bond staff on non-routine and policy matters, especially in areas where there are significant problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and assist in establishing operation responsibilities among construction program staff and consultants for optimal
- Manage all project controls/document controls for bond and non-bond projects, including PMIS software and all
- Manage and support non-bond/bond staff engagement in the bond construction program areas.
- Manage and assist in evaluating and appraising work of non-bond/bond staff. Provide formal and informal feedback in
- Review department for compliance with District, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
- Manage and assist with determining non-bond/bond staff training needed.
- Manage and assist with arranging or establishing programs and participate in those programs. Provide assistance

- Attend meetings, as necessary, to support the department and Bond Programs at the discretion of the Director of
- Support Director of Architecture in documenting and running meetings as needed (i.e., taking notes, presenting, filling in
- Use Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace to create schedules, tracking resources, and data management tools.
- Use Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace to write and share internal communication and support external
- Support the management and organization of department documents on file servers and Google Drive.
- Manage and assist current and future AISD bond program objectives.
- Manage and assist current and future AISD bond program projects, planning, communication, and bond program
- Work with department staff to identify and address specific program and project needs.
- Work with leadership, project managers, project facilitators, and bond staff to write and maintain standard operating
- Work with bond staff and leadership to design and implement new processes that support department organization and
- Support past and future Bond Programs.
- Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings, as necessary, and at the discretion of the appropriate supervisor.
- Participate in interview process, as appropriate. Assist in the establishment of methods for bond staff development
and/or career advancement.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience for all AISD stakeholders with intentional and professional practices that

PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports directly to the appropriate supervisor of the department. Incumbent will provide recurring guidance and
consultation to campus administrators, central office administrators, department heads and subordinates of the persons
previously listed regarding purchase requests, bid specifications and evaluations, purchasing policies, federal and state law,
vendor visits to schools, vendor delivery, and quality problems. Incumbent will have supervisory responsibilities.
