Job Summary: Austin Industrial, located in La Porte, TX is actively seeking to fill a Subcontracts Manager position, as part of our Risk Management division! The purpose of this position will be responsible for the processing and oversight of all downstream, subcontract, insurance and other related activities for our Maintenance, Sipa and Construction groups. This role involves working with Project and Operations Managers to pre-qualify subcontractor and vendors according to Austin and Owner’s requirements, help assemble and review agreements, review and work with the team to negotiate terms and serve as the Quality Assurance role for purchasing agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with maintenance and construction to establish a centralized list of pre-qualified subcontractors and vendors.
- Establish master agreements with preferred subcontractors.
- Establish master or national agreements with preferred equipment suppliers.
- Establish master or national agreement with preferred material suppliers.
- Work with project/facility teams to pre-qualify subcontractors and vendors to meet Owner’s and Austin’s requirements.
- Work with project/facility teams to draft, assemble and review subcontract agreements.
- Review certificates of downstream insurance coverages and facilitate compliance with subcontractors and suppliers as necessary.
- Liaise between project managers, risk management department, legal teams, and other parties to resolve subcontract and purchase order agreement-related issues.
- Maintain current list/status of open subcontract agreements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation in project files.
- Specifically internal bond and insurance waiver documentation
- Provide guidance on Risk Management requirements to project teams

- Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in the construction or insurance industries.
- Strong understanding of maintenance and construction contracts related insurance coverages.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, DocuSign, Microsoft Teams
- ERP software experience, pay application, or payment software experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial maintenance, Sipa and construction.
- Spanish speaking bilingual a plus, but not required
Working Conditions:
- Home office/headquarters based with occasional site visits.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
