Scaffold Builder Supervisor
This person will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. A minimum of 4 years of experience is required within the Scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have 7 years of experience as a Scaffold Builder Management
- Determines type of scaffold needed.
- Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
- Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
- Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
- Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
- Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding Material.
- Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
- Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Dismantles scaffolding when it has been effectively communicated to do so.
- Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Must be proficient in managing a crew, time, and costs.
- Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have all the required tools.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
- Identify all tools required for tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.

Qualifications Required for this Position:
Experience Responsibilities - Direct supervise 5 to 10 scaffold builders in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Austin Industrial’s policies & procedures and applicable laws.
Certification/License: NCCER and Valid Driver’s License.
