Job Description

Salary : $16-$18

This is an on-site role at Norristown Transportation Center.

Austin Logistics LLC is seeking responsible and professional unarmed security guards to join our team at the Norristown Transportation Center (NTC) in Norristown, PA. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of SEPTA personnel, customers, and property through vigilant monitoring and incident response. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of duty, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform regular patrols of the NTC facility, including parking lots, platforms, and waiting areas.
Monitor surveillance equipment and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
Enforce access control procedures and maintain logs of visitors and activities.
Provide excellent customer service to SEPTA passengers and employees, offering assistance and information as needed.
Respond to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or disturbances.
Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports through Guards Pro software.
Adhere to all company policies, including those related to safety, appearance, and conduct.

Qualifications :

At least 5 years of prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process

Must be proficient in using virtual communication tools, including Google Meet and Gmail, for effective communication and collaboration.

Ability to remain alert and focused during shifts, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer skills for report writing and use of security software.

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions.

Requirements :

Must be able to work a minimum of8-hour shiftswith appropriate rest periods between.

Must be able to work a maximum of12-hour shiftswith appropriate rest periods between.

Must be flexible to work weekday and weekends from 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am.

Must wear the full company-provided uniform, including high-visibility vests and approved footwear.

Follow company policies, includingzero tolerance for drug and alcohol usewhile on duty.
