What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nocturnal APP - Trauma/General Surgery position at Austin Major Group?
We are currently short four night APPs and are looking to staff one APP per night, with a goal of having two APPs on every night. The role involves inpatient coverage exclusively, with no clinic responsibilities. Ideally, we are looking for a 7 on/7 off coverage model, but we are open to discussing other potential scheduling options.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Medical License
- Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
Assignment Details:
- Position: Night Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Coverage
- Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Location: Inpatient coverage only (no clinic duties)
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
- Responsibilities:
- Assist Trauma/General Surgeons with rounding
- Manage patients
- See new patients
- Handle documentation
- Consult Volume: 10-12 consultations per night
- Patient Population: All ages
