Job Overview
Austin Major Group is seeking a dedicated Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a long-term locum tenens position. This role involves outpatient-only responsibilities, with support from a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The ideal candidate will commit to a minimum of one year.
Responsibilities
The selected physician will be responsible for onsite coverage, 3 days per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with flexibility). Patient load will be approximately 15 patients per day, handling a typical community-based hematology/oncology case mix. Perform bone marrow biopsies, if desired. No call responsibilities or non-heme/onc infusion duties are expected.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania state license
- Board Certification in Medical Oncology
- BLS and DEA required certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of hematology/oncology practice experience
