What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef position at Austin Pines Ranch?
The Chef is responsible for ordering and maintaining food and beverage inventory, keeping the kitchen area clean and organized, prepping and cooking meals each day while following the nutritional guidelines provided by the Facility’s Nutritionist/Registered Dietician.
· Meal preparation for the current client census.
· Preparing nutritional and healthy meals by following the Dietician’s approved menu options
· Ensure that all meals are ready to serve by the designated time, 3 times a day, seven days a week
· Ensure the kitchen area remains clean, organized and in excellent working condition
· Order necessary supplies, food and other related equipment necessary to maintain a working kitchen staying within the established Food and Beverage budget
· Coordinate with vendors and Facility Director to ensure the soda machine is in working condition and fully stocked
· Communicate with nursing staff and Registered Dietician to identify clients that require an alternative meal option due to nutritional needs, preference, or allergies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
