HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing the implementation and continuation of all human resources policies and procedures for a designated region. This role advises and ensures the Company's policies and legal requirements are met. This role will partner at all levels within the region advising on operational and tactical matters including constructive discipline, union avoidance / labor relations, learning and development, succession planning and safety. In partnership with this role's manager, the Human Resources Business Partner will help identify, recommend, and create process improvements which yield positive employee experience, overall efficiency improvements, and defined HR processes. This role in collaboration with their manager will ensure the COE's initiatives and strategic initiatives are implemented within region. The HRBP will report to the Executive Director Human Resources US & Canada.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- In driving towards a "One Austin" approach, implements the delivery of HR policies, procedures, services, and solutions to an assigned region to include but not limited to, talent management, talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, pay administration, succession planning, delivery of training, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and HR Investigations.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with leadership and the employees in the assigned regions/sites.
- Act as a reliable point of contact, ensuring consistent and transparent interactions.
- Leads consistently scheduled calls with the appropriate regions and/or manufacturing sites to discuss HR updates/initiatives, employee relations, and any topics that are of concern and interest to the field.
- Demonstrates strong understanding of Company, LLC / site, and HR strategy, driving translation of strategy to the region through talent programs or processes and partnering with leaders to obtain positive business outcomes.
- Assist with appropriate leadership with headcount tracking and analyzing data to be able to provide guidance and support on building a people budget.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to justify people budget and build effective business cases.
- Accountable for driving, delivering, and gaining early adoption of talent and development programs, individual development plans, succession planning, performance management, recruiting strategy and other corporately driven talent management and OD/OE Programs in the assigned region.
- Accountable for ensuring that appropriate leadership and tools are deployed into the field to optimize an environment where the workplace is free of discrimination and harassment by proactively measuring employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and/or municipal laws.
- Conducts and/or collaborates to deliver HR programs such as new hire onboarding and assimilation, HRIS implementation, mergers and acquisition support, safety compliance and monitoring, performance and talent management programs deployment, and general team member education.
- Partners with direct manager and appropriate LLC/site leadership on escalated employee relations.
- Provides leadership, direction, coaching, and where appropriate, discipline to direct report(s).
- Passionately creates and ensures a culture of openness and employee engagement.
- Assists with implementing Best Place to Work model consistent with the global initiative. Actions deliverables.
- Makes recommendations and / or implements processes to reduce waste and drive consistencies.
- Participates in workforce planning with the talent acquisition team for supported business within their region and provides supporting justification through action planning results during the roll-up process.
- Monitors and proactively reacts to overall HR metrics, trends, and performance for an assigned region or sites(s), in consultation and collaboration with other HR team members.
- Provide coaching and support to leaders regarding workforce planning, culture development, organizational policies and procedures, and communication of key initiatives.
- Ensure legal compliance covering labor relations, OSHA, EEOC, safety, employment, worker's comp, FMLA, etc.
- This position must maintain the highest level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that complement the team and organization. - Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Travel within the assigned region on an as needed basis, up to 25-50%.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or five plus years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years HRBP experience.
- Experience maintaining strict confidentiality of data and information.
- Highly proficient in HRIS, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration, a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership.

Work Environment
Travel for this position is about 25-50% within the Region. This position can be located in Ohio (Cleveland). Other locations within the Eastern Region is open for discussion.
