Austin Telco is looking for exceptional individuals for our brand-new Member Service Agent position. We are looking for a dedicated specialist with a member-focus on service excellence and community engagement. A team member driven to assist members and the organization by developing beneficial relationships to maximize member benefits. Ready to take on next-level solutions to create long-lasting membership connections.

If you have a great depth of knowledge of what services Credit Unions provide and can build great relationships with members, this role is for you!

Compensation

The range is $43,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Applicants for this position must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and as scheduled on Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Responsibilities

Expectations and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Branch Operations Expectations

  • Be knowledgeable in all products and services offered by the credit union.
  • Facilitate account origination and product/service adoption.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation and process conclusion.
  • Identify opportunities to expand membership and portfolio growth.
  • Deploy solutions in resolving dynamic member needs.
  • Recommend process improvements to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Assist branch leadership in operational needs relating to vault and transactional management.
  • Protect our members and the Credit Union in coordination with management from fraud, scams, and unlawful activity.

Community Branch Engagement

  • Exemplify the credit union’s mission and values in serving our members and community.
  • Initiate action to exceed member expectations.
  • Collaborate with partners and across departments in elevating the member experience.
  • Effectively participate in multi-directional and multi-channel communication.
  • Seek professional growth and skill development.
  • Be involved in community outreach opportunities.
  • Understand and assist in creating positive member journeys.
  • Advocate for financial literacy and education through member engagement and education.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Member Due Diligence Policy & Procedures.
  • Ensure completion of all required training and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Perform branch roles as business necessity requires.
  • Safeguard all member and Credit Union property, information, and systems.
  • Serve as Notary Public as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications of Candidates

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 1 years of experience in a credit union or bank.
  • Friendly and Outgoing Personality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skillset.
  • Time Management Proficiency.
  • Capacity for evolving problem-solving and networking.
  • Empathy and respect for those we serve and serve with.
  • Integrity in everything you do for our members and organization.
  • A daily mindset of service and cooperation is needed to be a part of the organization.

Additional Exceptional Qualifications Of Candidates

  • Completed related College coursework
  • Industry Certifications

Good credit standing is also required and will be verified during the pre-employment stage. Once a contingent job offer is made, a criminal background check and drug screening will be completed.
