Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Scientist for immediate employment in the Austin, Texas office.
Desired applicant will have a minimum of one year of experience. Relevant field experience includes, but is not limited to construction oversight, soil and groundwater investigations (including groundwater/soil sampling), logging of soil borings, installation of groundwater monitoring wells and environmental site assessments. Candidate may have to travel to West Texas and New Mexico on a routine basis.
Relevant office experience includes evaluation and reporting of investigative results. Additional relevant experience including coordinating, planning, organizing and conducting investigations and remedial activities. A proven track record and experience in the oil and gas industry is beneficial.
Candidate must be highly motivated, client-focused, and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload and travel as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skill is required. Candidate should be able to meet time sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
Your Role:
- Assisting with Health and Safety plans and assessments of project sites and project teams.
- Assisting project management leads with tasks including preparing budget estimates and subcontractor coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Geology, or related field
