Entry level manufacturing engineer with CAD and CNC programming knowledge.
We are looking for someone looking to grow with a company that wants to double in size. Salary range depends on experience. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance as well as 401K and paid time off.
Requirements
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops manufacturing engineering for customer order production including:
- Develop solid models as needed;
- Develop CNC programming from solid models or .dxf for laser cutting;
- Develop CNC programming for press brake forming including selecting tooling for press brake. Develop flats related to formed parts, based on selected tooling for laser cutting flats;
- Operate press brake with operator from time to time;
- Develops manufacturing routes for customer orders.
- Coordinates with sales to determine best methods for manufacturing customer’s parts per customer’s drawings.
- Interfaces with shop personnel and other programmers to achieve goals.
- Works with sales for production route development for proposals as required.
- Creates, updates, or revises production documentation as needed.
- Creates engineering or fixture drawings as required.
- Catalogues CNC programs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficient in the use of current AutoCAD, Inventor and Solid Works software applications.
- Experience with CNC programming press brake and laser cutter operations.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry to apply concepts to practical situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting or problem resolution skills.
- Excellent computer skills to perform data input and inquiry (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (or related field of study) or 2-year technical certification with equivalent related manufacturing engineering and/or operations experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1 years in SolidWorks/Inventor/Metamation and CNC Programming experience.
- Hands-on experience in shop environment with CNC laser cutters and press brake.
- Experience with inspection methods for various tolerance requirements [up to ± .XXX] preferred.
- Experience with ProfitFab ERP preferred.
