Description
Leads a team of personnel to include waterjet operators and maintenance personnel to achieve daily production targets while ensuring resources are allocated effectively while also providing all CNC programming for waterjets.

Duties / Responsibilities
Monitors product quality throughout the waterjetting process, conducts regular inspections, and implements corrective actions to address any deviations from quality standards.
Prioritizes waterjet jobs based on delivery date, schedule requirements and program, material, personnel and machine availability.
Interprets and clarifies customer’s dimensional and interface requirements for shop floor personnel, as required.
Provides coaching and feedback to waterjet operators to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Identifies training needs and implements development plans to support employee growth.
Coordinates with maintenance personnel and helps prioritize maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waterjet production down time.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall waterjet productivity.
Ensures open communication and collaboration within AWJ, including sales, engineering/programming, maintenance, materials management and the owners, to resolve issues and drive alignment toward common goals.
Develops waterjet programs for customer orders, to include:
· Develop CNC programming for cutting flats.
· Port to appropriate waterjet cutting center.
· Develop flats from solid model based on part finish geometry and tooling selected by engineering for forming.
· Develop solid models, as needed, to generate flats.
Develops laser cutting programs for customer orders, to include:
· Develop CNC programming for cutting flats.
· Develop flats from solid model based on part finish geometry and tooling selected by engineering for forming.
· Develop solid models, as needed, to generate flats.
Interfaces with sales and shop personnel to achieve goals.
Helps shop personnel understand part features and critical dimensions, as required.
Creates fixture drawings and production instructions as required.
Catalogues CNC programs.
Requirements
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to organize work scopes and machine capacity and lead personnel.
Proficient in the use of current CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor and Solid Works software as applicable).
Experience with CNC programming waterjet and laser cutting operations.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry to apply concepts to practical situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent troubleshooting or problem resolution skills.
Excellent computer skills to perform data input and inquiry (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
