Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee our parts department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring the availability of equipment parts, and providing exceptional service to our customers. This role requires strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of commercial equipment service and repair processes.
Duties
- Manage and maintain inventory levels for parts, ensuring optimal stock availability.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track inventory and streamline operations.
- Oversee the procurement of parts from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Coordinate with the service technicians and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts for service to be completed.
- Utilize all supply houses to ensure the best pricing.
- Keep pricing updated in the system for correct billing purposes.
- Ensure that all parts pricing and shipping costs are added to correct invoices for billing.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of parts and equipment to various locations.
- Complete and file all warranties and return parts as requested for warranty payment.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for tracking inventory and managing orders.
- Familiarity with commercial equipment service processes, including repair techniques and OEM specifications.
- Excellent negotiation skills for securing favorable pricing from suppliers..
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, suppliers, and customers.
