About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at AUTEC Car Wash Systems. The Assembly Technician is responsible for safely assembling car wash equipment including parts and subassemblies using blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. This position is located at our Statesville, NC facility.
Responsibilities
- Assembly – assembly products according to provided instructions and specifications on AUTEC’s final production of equipment units, to including plumbing, wiring
- Subassemblies – help build pre- assembled components for pumps, motors, hydraulic tanks, high pressure manifolds and other AUTEC components
- Electrical Component Assembly: Assemble electrical components, including wires, cables, connectors, switches, and circuit boards, following engineering drawings, schematics, or blueprints.
- Shipping – pull installed kits, components, peripherals (blowers, arches, lighting, etc) – to prepare a final AUTEC turn key install machine for shipment to the customer.
- Testing and Quality Control: Conduct performance tests such as continuity tests, voltage measurements, and functionality checks, to ensure that the assembled components meet quality and performance standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues, defects, or malfunctions by using testing equipment and diagnostic tools, and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and quality inspections. Complete production logs and documentation.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment, particularly when working with electricity.
- Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain hand and power tools, testing equipment, and machinery required for assembly and testing.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the production team, engineers, and quality control personnel to ensure efficient and timely production.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous 1-3 experience of manufacturing experience with hands on assembly
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions
- Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
- Full body mobility with the ability to bend, twist, squat, climb stairs, and work on ladders.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods with hands above the head.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
