We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to join our growing team at AUTEC Car Wash Systems. Based in Statesville, NC, this hands-on role is key to maintaining our commitment to high-performance, reliability, and exceptional customer service.
As a Service Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair car wash equipment and systems. You’ll be part of a passionate team that keeps our customers running smoothly and confidently.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and commission car wash equipment per technical specs and safety standards.
- Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct scheduled maintenance, system checks, and on-site repairs to maximize uptime.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
- Component Replacement: Replace worn or faulty parts, ensuring all systems are safely and properly integrated.
- Technical Tasks:
- Replace solenoid valves, sensors, switches, and control components.
- Replace hoses, fittings, and plumbing components.
- Travel: Visit customer sites in a company-provided vehicle; maintain vehicle and tools in excellent condition.
- Calibration & Testing: Ensure optimal performance through system calibration and functional testing.
- Documentation: Complete service reports and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
- Customer Support: Train and support customers on basic system operation and maintenance best practices.
- Safety & Quality: Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with equipment standards.
- Inventory: Manage spare parts and maintain stock for efficient service calls.
- Team Contribution: Provide input on process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a Service Technician or in car wash equipment repair/maintenance.
- Hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Strong diagnostic skills and comfort with tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally; must have a clean driving record.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, and working on feet for extended periods.
