Network Engineer

Authority Brands, LLC is looking for a Cloud Network Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the network hardware, software, and communications links of the company’s infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploy solutions in coordination with other business partners
• Performs problem isolation and resolution of network problems through troubleshooting and devising effective solutions
• Maintains technical knowledge in all relevant areas of networks including hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, routers, firewalls, gateways, etc.
• Installs patches and maintains accurate records of network changes and patch/update levels
• Performs network management functions such as network monitoring, maintenance, performance measurement, usage, and reporting
• Performs updates to network devices including firewalls, switches, routers, and access points
• Deployment of new or replacement network equipment at company offices.
• Perform hybrid cloud network implementations in AWS and other cloud providers
• Perform assessments of existing network infrastructures and document "as-is" environments
• Organize project work into presentations, outlining findings and recommendations
• Respond to and resolve help desk requests (Tier 3)
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• AWS experience and certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect - Associate) preferred
• Cisco and Fortinet experience desired
• Experience with CICD and IaC tools like CloudFormation, CodePipeline, and GitHub
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (Bash, Batch, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Knowledge of, and experience with, network technologies such as ARP, BGP, DHCP, DNS, EIGRP, Firewall, LACP, NAT, OSPF, RADIUS, Static Routing, STP, and Wi-Fi
• Able to identify, prioritize, and solve network-related problems
• Able to work in a fast-paced complex and dynamic environment
• Poise under pressure and comfort with ambiguity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organization abilities and team collaboration skills
• Solution orientation to problem resolution and process improvement
