The Comfort Advisor to conduct in-home sales consultations focused on HVAC, comfort, and efficiency. The Comfort Advisor assesses homeowner needs, develops and presents HVAC replacement/upgrade proposals, secures sales, processes orders, and works with company teammates to ensure customer satisfaction. This position works with new and existing customers to guide them through the sales process while exploring equipment and financing options.
Responsibilities:
Identify, pre-qualify, and call on non-contract customers and current contract customers to increase awareness of company service offerings.
Prepare estimates for contracts and proposals.
Follow-up on sales leads and lists, both self-generated and via other sources.
Manage multiple opportunities particularly focusing on selling service agreements and new equipment.
Sell, renew, and expand renewable service agreements, to both new and existing customers.
Maintain a closing ratio of 70% or higher on generated leads and 50% or higher on marketed leads.
Must always be accessible by phone.
Demonstrate technical expertise and maintain a high level of credibility.
Recommend solutions and link customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage.
Positively and credibly influence service strategies with homeowners.
Effectively develop, write, and present proposals and contracts for residential service agreements.
Negotiate value and address resistance to close the sale.
Maintain a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in related field preferred.
3 years of in-home sales experience required.
Prior success in the HVAC industry with knowledge of industry best practices and local market greatly preferred.
Previous experience with in-home service agreement estimating and sales preferred.
Strong needs-based sales and relationship building skills preferred.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills required.
Discipline, customer focus, and passion for excellence required.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
