Job Title: Program Associate: A-Team and Project Lifesaver Support
Reports To: Program Manager
Scope/Purpose:
The Program Associate is an essential member of the programs team, supporting day-to-day tasks necessary to provide services to individuals/families enrolled in A-Team or Project Lifesaver. A-Team is peer group programming for adolescent-aged children with autism, with the goal of fostering relationships, skill development and confidence. Project Lifesaver is a collaboration with Omaha Police Department to provide wearable technology that assists in the reunification of individuals prone to wandering/elopement. The Associate’s priority is direct service and data collection but will also include indirect program tasks, office, and organizational support responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for a college student pursuing a career in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or serving individuals with disabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of A-Team sessions
- ·Perform program data collection, data entry, analysis, and report as needed to monitor program outcomes for A-Team and Project Lifesaver
- Communicate with program participant parents/guardians on participant progress, updates, and information
- Actively participate in program sessions by supporting participants to engage with peers and activities
- Create program materials and activities and support Program Manager in leading sessions
- Complete program and office duties as assigned by task supervisor
- Assist with Project Lifesaver program components, including enrollments, data entry, scheduling, band/battery changes, and equipment inventory
Complexity/Diversity of Work:
This position involves a wide array of tasks and activities. The position requires a highly flexible and motivated individual, with a strong desire to directly support and enrich the lives of those with autism. The Associate must have the ability to successfully interact with autistic youth and their families. This position will have frequent contact with other members of the AAP team, individuals and families served by AAP, external agencies, and the general community. All employees must represent AAP in a manner that instills hope, trust, and inspiration among members of both the autism and non-autism community.
Qualifications:
- RBT credential highly preferred; would need the ability to obtain outside BCBA for credential supervision
- Bilingual preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Desire to serve families and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with individuals from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic, and cultural backgrounds required
- Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4:00-6:00pm and Tuesdays 4:00-8:00pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
