Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide high-quality behavioral therapy to children and adolescents with behavioral health needs. This role is essential in implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data, and supporting clients in achieving their goals through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques inside of the school setting. This roll will follow school hours and time off unless otherwise discussed.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress towards goals.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral health concepts and strategies.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with agency policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
- Provide support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Valid Driver's License Required.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a behavioral health or school setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in data collection, medical documentation, and maintaining medical records is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate clients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
