Job Description
We are looking for individuals that love working with children and are hoping to gain experience with autism through this rewarding and fulfilling job opportunity. The majority of our programs focus on preparing the child for success in the classroom, helping them meet developmental milestones, and teaching daily living skills. You would work with the child in his or her home and help to achieve those goals.
Behavioral Treatment Technicians are assigned to a child’s therapy team within Milwaukee or Waukesha county. Each technician provides 6-12 hours of therapy per week per child, and the team meets weekly to discuss the child’s progress. We work around your schedule/availability to ensure that you are placed within local areas that best fit your schedule.
Paid Training
We provide paid training which includes shadowing our team of experienced professionals, watching online training videos, and attending a class held in our office.
Flexibility
This position is perfect for college students or anyone needing flexible hours. Our schedules change each semester to accommodate changing availability.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have your own, personal mode of transportation
- Must provide proof of auto insurance
- Must make a minimum 6-9 month commitment, as it is difficult for our families and children to change staff too frequently.
- This position requires the ability to bend; sit on low surfaces (such as a child sized chair and the floor); engage in outdoor, gross, and fine motor play; and lift the child as needed (weights range from 30-80 pounds)
