Job Description
A Senior Behavior Therapist at Autism Matters provides on-floor support and clinical oversight to a caseload of 4-6 clients and their team of behavior therapists. This position is responsible for direct 1:1 and 2:1 individualized therapy services utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principals, while also ensuring their team is providing high-quality services and maintaining treatment integrity. A Senior Behavior Therapist is supportive of their team, ethical, client-focused, and dedicated to best practice.
Qualifications And Educational Requirements
Must meet Level 1 and/or Level 2 qualifications for education and/or experience:
Possess 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training. o Level 2: (must meet one of the bullet points) Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral or child development science or a related field AND have 1,000 hours of clinical experience, OR completed approved graduate coursework, OR be a BCaBA or RBT. Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in one of the behavioral or child development sciences or related fields and will receive 1,000 hours of supervision. Have 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.
Be available to work a daily schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday. Autism Matters will review other availability and scheduling requests on a case by case basis.
Tasks And Responsibilities
CLIENT-FOCUSED THERAPY
Maintain a caseload of 4-6 FTE Clients.
Provide 1:1 and 2:1 therapy to children utilizing the principles of behavior analysis. Job Title:

Follow clients' individualized treatment plans to target specific goals across a variety of domains to improve the clients' ability to interact with their environment.
Demonstrate the consistent use of positive and proactive behavior management techniques, as well as reactive strategies based on clients' individualized behavior plans.
Monitor client acquisition rate and individual treatment plan goals in collaboration with the programmers.
Complete and maintain timely and effective written documentation with minimal errors.
Receive and apply feedback from supervisor(s) to enhance therapy and improve client outcomes.
Participate in Family Caregiver Training and Counseling in order to provide support and consistency across environments, as requested.
OVERSIGHT AND SUPERVISION
Directly supervise behavior therapists on their team and provide positive and corrective feedback utilizing a variety of objective and subjective measures.
Support behavior therapists with clinical questions or concerns regarding clients' on caseload, application of ABA procedures, and/or overall clinical procedures.
Provide observation and direction to clients on caseload in individual or group skills sessions with behavior therapists to assess application of skills, procedural integrity and client progress.
Maintain client stimuli systems and materials.
Ensure that client routine daily tasks (e.g. toileting, grooming, etc.) are completed by team members, as necessary.
Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration during meetings, overlaps, and trainings.
Participate in client intake.
Complete on-going assessment for clients on caseload.
Maintain a clean and safe therapeutic environment.
Provide disciplinary warnings for client-related safety concerns or policy violations, when warranted.
Ensure medication policies and procedures are implemented appropriately.
GENERAL
Complete and pass competencies with 90% accuracy within the first 90 days of employment (if hired directly at Senior Behavior Therapist).
Provide direct services (any billable client-related activity), as outlined above, during 80% of scheduled hours.
Model professional demeanor and ethical behavior across all settings.
