The Autism Society of North Carolina is hiring a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Fayetteville and surrounding areas. As a DSP and caregiver, you'll provide direct care and support to individuals with autism, helping them achieve personal goals and enhance their lives.

DAY-TO-DAY. As a caregiver, you have the opportunity to build rewarding relationships with individuals and their families. Whether you are providing instruction and support to increase their communication skills, promote self-advocacy, improve their ability to communicate, or improve social interaction and engagement, you will play a meaningful part in their lives and have the opportunity to make a positive impact every day. As a direct care professional you will be part of a dedicated team of people who are working to make a difference. You'll work collaboratively with other support professionals and have access to resources and training.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual
- Provide support, supervision, and instruction in home, community, and/or program settings
- Implement goal-driven activities that are identified on the person's care plan
- Provide support and opportunities to learn and practice meaningful skills
- Provide support and opportunities to engage socially and build relationships
- Complete daily notes that summarize the person's efforts and progress toward their goals

Available Locations and Schedules:
- Fayetteville and surrounding areas
- Day, evening, and weekend schedules available
- Part-time
- Hours average 10-30 hours, depending on your availability
