We provide resources, advocacy, and support while promoting understanding and inclusion in our community.Mission : The Autism Society of Northern Virginia builds community through education, advocacy, and support.Position OverviewThe Program Director will lead ASNV’s programming, fundraising initiatives, and autism education efforts. This position is integral to the success of ASNV’s mission and will focus on developing and growing sustainable programs, forging community partnerships, and enhancing funding streams. The Program Director reports to the Board of Directors and collaborates with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising and DevelopmentPartner with the Board of Directors to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals.Lead donor engagement through direct giving campaigns and innovative fundraising strategies.Identify, research, and cultivate funding opportunities from individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.Coordinate the fundraising aspects of community events and special initiatives.Maintain a consolidated database of donors, sponsors, and strategic partners.Program Management, Education, and I&R ServicesDevelop and implement community-focused programs that align with ASNV’s mission.Offer autism education and awareness training to businesses, organizations, and community members.Foster relationships with local organizations to enhance program outreach and advocacy efforts.Keep abreast of key issues, trends, and legislation on local, state, and federal levels for advocacy efforts.Manage existing programs while identifying opportunities for new programs and initiatives.Deliver timely and accurate Information and Referral (I&R) services to individuals and families, ensuring they are connected to appropriate community resources and supports.Board and Organizational SupportCollaborate closely with the Board of Directors on strategic planning and governance.Prepare reports, updates, and recommendations to the Board.Serve as a key point of contact and ambassador for ASNV within the community.Support the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers.Social Media and CommunicationsCreate, schedule, and manage content for ASNV’s social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging.Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries through social media.Collaborate with staff and volunteers to create compelling stories and campaigns that promote ASNV’s mission and events.Track social media analytics to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in human services, education, psychology, behavioral / mental health, or a related field.Proven experience in program management, nonprofit fundraising, or a related field.Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and the community’s service needs.Strong leadership skills with the ability to execute Board directives effectively.Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.Public speaking skills and experience engaging with diverse audiences.Proficiency with digital tools, including social media and donor management software.Job Type : Full-timePay : $50,000.00 per yearSchedule : 8 hour shiftWork Location : Hybrid remote in Oakton, VA 22124#J-18808-Ljbffr
