ASN is one of the few providers in the region that accepts Medicaid-eligible families and is committed to serving this underserved population in Missouri and Kansas. Specializing in supporting children aged 18 months to 14 years, we are continuously growing our clinical and administrative teams to expand our services and improve continuously as ABA providers.
Position Overview
As a Billing and Credentialing Specialist at ASN, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless billing processes and accurate credentialing for our clinical team. This position is essential to maintaining the financial and operational health of our organization while supporting the delivery of high-quality care to children with autism.
Key Responsibilities
Billing Duties:
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate insurance claims.
- Resolve claim rejections and denials promptly.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with payers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies and billing regulations.
Credentialing Duties:
- Manage and maintain up-to-date credentials for clinical staff.
- Complete and submit credentialing applications for insurance networks.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve credentialing issues.
- Track and maintain records of licensure, certifications, and insurance approvals.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the clinical, administrative, and finance teams to ensure alignment on billing and credentialing processes.
- Provide support and training to staff on billing and credentialing best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in medical billing and credentialing (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing codes, and credentialing processes.
- CentralReach/BillMax experience a plus.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
