AutismCOE is looking for a Director of Operations to lead and oversee the operational management of our ABA Therapy centers. Our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services support intensive therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder overseen by professional Behavior Analysts in both center-based and home-based environments.
As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic operational success across multiple locations, working closely with the executive team, clinical staff, and administration. This role requires a strong leader with a track record of optimizing processes, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced, service-based environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the operational performance across all service delivery centers and administrative functions
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, and quality of services
- Establish policies, procedures, and KPIs aligned with the organization’s objectives, regularly monitoring performance
- Oversee the financial health of the centers, including budget tracking, cost control, and forecasting
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and HR to streamline onboarding and professional development for Behavior Technicians (BTs) and administrative staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative organizational culture that emphasizes communication, teamwork, and professional growth
- Drive initiatives for community outreach, marketing, and business development
- Oversee facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards
- Act as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment
- Handle crisis situations and operational challenges, providing swift and effective solutions
- Manage scheduling and resource allocation to maintain optimal staff coverage
- Participate in staff engagement activities, team-building events, and professional development programs
- Regularly report to senior leadership on key initiatives and operational performance
Qualifications:
- 8 years of management experience in overseeing large, multi-site operations in a healthcare or service-based environment
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to engage empathetically with children, families, and staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinking with the ability to implement processes that drive long-term growth while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to problem-solve in high-pressure situations
- Experience in ABA therapy operations is a plus, but not required
