Spine Rehab Tech

Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Technician plays a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation team by assisting patients in their recovery process. This position involves working closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and ensure a positive experience for patients. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and dedicated to helping individuals regain their strength and mobility.

Duties

• Assist therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
• Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises and techniques to enhance their recovery at home.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes.
• Help patients with mobility and assist them in performing exercises safely.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improvements.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients during their recovery process.
• Basic knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and physical therapy practices is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records.
• Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility tasks and perform light lifting as needed.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments within the rehabilitation setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
