Description:
The vehicle sales representative is responsible for selling new and used vehicles to customers. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of vehicle features and pricing, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers on the sales floor and determine their make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
- Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicles in the showroom or on the road.
- Suggest optional equipment for customers to purchase.
- Compute and quote sales prices, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fee, and discount, and requirements for financing payment of vehicles on credit.
- Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
- Receive payments or obtain credit authorizations.
- Arrange for delivery and registration of vehicles.
- Research availability of models and optional equipment using computer databases.
